Dr. Douglas Brodie, MD
Douglas Brodie, a doctor of internal medicine, is licensed in both homeopathy and allopathy. Dr. Brodie believes that cancer thrives in the presence of a deficient immune system. He has developed alternative methods aimed at strenghthening the immune system against cancer and other degenerative diseases, with an emphasis on natural and humane approaches to these conditions. His treatments include the use of Biological Response Modifiers to assist the compromised immune system of his patients.

Often used in conjunction with traditional cancer therapies, Dr. Brodie's cancer treatment plan includes intervenous nutrition supplementation to correct any nutrition deficiencies and assist in detoxification. The IV program is followed by a less intensive oral supplementation. Supplements: Vitamin A, C and B-Complex, Thymus Extract, Digestive Enzymes, Amygdalin (Laetrile), Germanium Sesquioxide, Antioxidants, Shark and Bovine Cartilage, and Phytochemicals.

Alternative therapies include Ukrain, Carnivora, Polypeptides, Interferon, Melatonon/IL-2 and homeopathic remedies. Dr. Brodie also stresses lifestyle plans including a well-balanced diet, moderate exercise and psychological maintenance to prevent the recurrance of cancer.

Brodie's Diet
Dr. Brodie prescribes diets based on individual needs. Since his research indicates that high animal fat and low fiber contribute to cancer, he recommends a mainly vegetarian diet emphasizing raw and processed foods.
