Shark
Cartilage and Bovine Cartilage
Both shark cartilage and bovine cartilage are dietary supplements.
A process called angiogenesis is the development of tiny blood vessels
that supplies a tumor with nutrients to grow. I. William Lane, PH.D.,
author of "Sharks Don't Get Cancer" believes that shark cartilage
is anti-angiogenic. John F. Prudden, M.D. is a proponent of bovine cartilage
and claims its anti-cancer ingredient is a complex surgar molecule that
stimulates the immune system to fight cancer.
My opinion. I heard on the radio
the other day that sharks DO get cancer. "In fact," the radio man said,
"sharks get cartilage cancer." I will have to do a little research to
validate this statement. End of my opinion

There are other anti-angiogenesis drugs under investigation today.
